The 810 class coaches (until 1 January 1988 class M 152.0, the original prototype was class M 151.0) are the most widely used Czech railway cars. They are used as traction cars on regional lines with fewer passengers. A total of 680 of this series were produced, including two broad gauge (originally class M 152.5, now class 810.8).
The 810 series cars were produced by Vagónka Studénka for the ČSD in 1975–1982 (prototypes in 1973). Since the mid-1990s, both successor organisations (ČD and ŽSR, later ZSSK) have been modernised into various types. Some cars are still in service in their original form. Some vehicles have fallen into the hands of private transport operators.
